Printronix supplies a network tool called Print Net Enterprise -‘PNE’. PNE allows help desk to see all the printers, view and interact with the operator panel. Help desk staff can help operations workers on the phone. Help desk can see the printer’s operator panel messages live. Software updates can be directly downloaded to printers via Ethernet. PNE works the same on Printronix Thermal Printers – used to print barcode labels.
